The facelifted model for the Isuzu mu-X is now available for the Philippine market. In particular, most of the 2023 model's new bits are found on the top-spec LS-E trims

Like its pickup truck sibling, the fresh new mu-X gets several revamped exterior details. It likewise comes with a new feature that makes loading and unloading cargo a bit easier. But how does it compare to the outgoing pre-facelifted model? Let’s find out.
2023 Isuzu mu-X Old vs New: Exterior
Tweaked details for the mu-X's refreshed version for the 2023 model year are found on the LS-E trims. In particular, it gets a new two-tone grille which is far darker in color compared to the grille fitted on the old mu-X.

On top of that, the new mu-X also gets a new set of wheels with straighter spokes. Meanwhile, the outgoing version rode on wheels with slightly angled spokes.

The flagship trim also gets a new smart tailgate. This new feature allows owners to open it without reaching for their keys. The power tailgate’s new step-sensor allows one to just stand near the tailgate for it to open.
The previous top-spec model did get a power tailgate, but it lacked the step sensor and the automatic functionality present on the new mu-X.

Lastly, the new mu-X LS-E is now available with the new Norwegian Blue body color.
2023 Isuzu mu-X Old vs New: Interior
The 2023 mu-X remains unchanged where interiors are concerned. It still gets a front cabin that mirrors the design of the D-Max, and it still has the same feature set as the outgoing model.
To be more specific, features that were carried over from the old to the new mu-X LS-E include automatic climate control, a 4.2-inch driver information display, leather seats, a power adjustable driver’s seat, a 60:40 split-folding second row, a 50:50 split-folding third row, a push-to-start button, rain-sensing wipers, etc.

Entertainment for the 2023 version is also provided by a 10.1-inch touchscreen. This is the same headunit found on the older model, and it still comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The eight-piece speaker setup for the LS-E was likewise kept.
For safety, not much has changed for the 2023 mu-X. As with the outgoing model, it still comes standard with anti-lock braking, stability control, brake assist, traction control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, a reverse camera, etc.

The suite of driver-assistive safety features found on the older mu-X was likewise carried over to the new version. This includes a forward collision warning system, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams, among others.

Retained for the 2023 Isuzu mu-X LS-E is the same 3.0-liter turbodiesel mill found on the outgoing model’s top-spec variants. Power output then remains the same at 187 horsepower 450 Nm of torque.

Like the older LS-E variants, the new 2023 mu-X LS-E also uses a six-speed automatic gearbox. It likewise gets a 4x4 or 4x2 drivetrain depending on the variant.
For pricing, the mu-X LS-E 4x2 AT is priced at Php 2,155,000, while the top-spec mu-X LS-E 4x4 AT retails at Php 2,505,000.
