Hyundai Philippines has officially launched the nine-seater version of the Staria van. It is based on the model’s top-spec Premium+ AWD trim, and as of its launch, it is priced at Php 2,830,000.

On the outside, the nine-seater version of the Korean brand’s people-mover retains a majority of the styling and equipment of the Premium+ variant. It gets power sliding doors and a power tailgate for easy access to its interior, LED headlamps, and parametric pixel LED taillights.

The new version of the Staria likewise sits on a set of 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, while sporting copper accents on its power-folding side mirrors and grille. But one feature omitted on the nine-seater is the sunroof available on the seven-seater version.

Inside, the Staria Premium+ nine-seater gets an additional row of captain seats. These do not get the ventilation function present on the seven-seater version, but they can be swiveled to face the third and fourth-row passengers. This configuration creates a space conducive to socializing which is great for family or business trips.

Other interior amenities present on the nine-seater Staria are a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The latter gets Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity. Like the touchscreen on the seven-seater Premium+, it is linked to a 12-piece Bose speaker system.

Safety aboard the new version is handled by an extensive kit that includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and forward collision warning, among others. It also gets the same set of standard safety bits found on the seven-seater model.

Propelling the Staria Premium+ nine-seater is a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine that can make up to 175 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. It assumes a front-engine, all-wheel-drive layout, and it uses an eight-speed automatic transmission.

As mentioned above, the 2024 Staria Premium+ nine-seater is priced at Php 2.83 million. That’s actually Php 200,000 less than the seven-seater version. For your reference, the regular seven-seater Premium+ currently retails at Php 2,930,000.

Besides the new Staria Premium+ nine-seater, Hyundai Philippines also launched the Stargazer X and the all-new 2024 Custin minivan. With these additions to its lineup, the Korean brand further solidifies its selection of people-moving models for the local market.
