130 PNP Hyundai patrol cars will benefit.

Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) has strengthened its partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) by extending the aftersales support for the existing fleet of "PNP Hyundai Patrol Cars."

Held at Camp Crame, the PNP received 245,000 USD (around Php 13.5 million) worth of preventive maintenance, as well as 145,000 USD (Php 7.9 million) worth of parts. These can be availed of by the PNP at Hyundai Motor Authorized Dealers or Service Centers.

"At Hyundai Motor, we strive to provide freedom of mobility by going beyond our role as an automotive sales company. This guiding principle comes from our strong commitment to give back to society because we exist to do the right thing for humanity," said HMPH President Mr. Eric Lee.

The "PNP Hyundai Patrol Cars" will get to benefit from the Korean automaker's extended after-sales support. It consists of 81 Grand Starex and 49 Elantra units. These were turned over by the Republic of Korea (ROK) through the Korea International Corporation Agency (KOICA) and Korean National Police Agency (KNPA), to the country's principal police force.

The Hyundai Grand Starex and Elantra aren't listed on HMPH's revitalized lineup. The Grand Starex was succeeded by the Staria, while the Elantra was discontinued way before the arrival of the automaker's new Philippine distributor.

Despite this, the company strives to provide excellent after-sales service to all Hyundai owners. HMPH even said that it will honor warranties of Hyundai cars bought from the previous distributor.

The extended PMS will extend the life of PNP Hyundai cars

With the strengthened partnership, the 130 PNP Hyundai Patrol Cars can serve the country for more years to come.

"Again, to our proponents from KOICA and HMPH as well as to our counterparts from KNPA, thank you very much. The preventive maintenance service will ensure that our 130 vehicles’ life span will be prolonged," said Police Major General (PMGEN) Rolando Olay, PNP's Director for Logistics.
