The first of the two expansions by Hyundai Motor PH in Palawan is the opening of the brand’s 1S outlet, which is located on the Ground Floor of Robinson’s Puerto Princesa. It’s a 140.3-square meter facility that showcases a 2-car display, a media wall, a lounge for private consultations, an open area for additional seating, and a brochure table and configurator wall.

Hyundai’s 1S outlet is a type of space that does not carry vehicle servicing and spare parts as additions to sales functions. The Korean car brand explains that a 1S outlet is focused on digitalized touchpoints and tools that provide visitors with a more lifestyle-centric and personalized approach to the car buying process.

“At Hyundai Motor, we strive to take care of both people and planet. We regard ourselves as more than just a car company. The reason why we find ways to continuously innovate. Whether in designing vehicles, developing campaigns or creating spaces. Our 1S outlet is a product of this,” said HMPH president Dongwook Lee.

Aside from the 1S outlet, HMPH also held the groundbreaking ceremony for the newest Hyundai dealership in Puerto Princesa. HMPH shared that Hyundai Palawan is part of the car brand’s new expansion target of 46, and it is set to open in the third quarter of 2024.

The 1S outlet in Robinson’s Puerto Princesa and the Hyundai Palawan dealership are under the management of Auto Artist Incorporated (AAI).

Hyundai Palawan groundbreaking

“Our vision for this dealership goes beyond the physical structure that will soon rise from this very spot. In today’s rapidly evolving automotive landscape, we understand that our valued customers deserve more than just a place to purchase vehicles,” said AAI president Dennis Tan.

"It is a testament to the development and economic vitality of our city, as more global brands choose to invest in our community, creating jobs and stimulating economic activity … And we are thankful that Hyundai recognizes the beauty of Palawan, not just in its landscapes but in the spirit of its people,” Tan added.
