A helping hand for flood-damaged rides due to the tropical storm.

The Tropical Storm Paeng which flew over the Philippines a few weeks ago, without a doubt negatively affected a good number of Filipinos. The biggest of these is property damage, especially homes, as well as cars. Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) is well aware of this, and so it is extending a helping hand by providing a discount on selected car parts.

Honda Cars PH's announcement for the parts discount as posted on Facebook

To be more specific, HCPI is offering 30 percent off on the aforementioned parts. All of these are motor vehicle electrical components that were most likely damaged by floods. Here is a list of parts that qualify for the said discount:

For further assistance with this, one just needs to call or visit these dealerships. One may also visit Honda Philippines’ official website for more information.

It is also reasonable to assume that these being Honda parts, current Honda owners are likely the ones who will greatly benefit from the discount.

Many depend on their Hondas as trusty family cars or their daily drivers. So its great that Honda is lending a hand

According to the ReliefWeb humanitarian information portal, Tropical Storm Paeng mainly impacted Regions 5, 6, 8, 12, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). A total of 164 local government units had to go under a “state of calamity” during the storm. At least 200,000 families were also displaced.

Furthermore, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s (NDRRMC) situational report dated November 16, 2022, states that around 5.5 million people have been affected by the typhoon in question.

The NDRRMC report also stated that at least 160 are now confirmed to have passed away due to flash floods and landslides.
