It’s a good vehicle for the fam too.

Going on an out-of-town road trip is common among Filipinos. Be it for trips, whether to visit relatives or just to chill and relax on the beach, it is our preference to travel in a seven-seater vehicle together with friends or family. Honda, of course, is one company that knows this, and so recently, it has shared with us six reasons why the BR-V is ideal for road trips.

The Honda BR-V

1. The Honda BR-V has plenty of room

First off, the Honda BR-V offers the very same reason why seven-seater models are popular in the country in the first place: it has plenty of cabin space. From the front cabin to the third-row seating, it promises plenty of elbow room and legroom.

And even with just the third row folded down, it can already fit in up to 470-liters of cargo. Fold the second row though, and you get up to 520-liters.

2. Capable infotainment system

Second, the Honda BR-V comes kitted out with a seven-inch touchscreen. On the top-spec V variant, this comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has Bluetooth connectivity, Audio Streaming, as well as USB connectivity.

3. Safety-packed

As a family-oriented vehicle, Honda made sure to make the BR-V's safety kit as comprehensive as possible.

For that matter, it gets dual front airbags, anti-lock braking with electronic brake-force distribution, auto door locks, a reverse camera, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a car alarm and engine immobilizer, as well as Honda’s G-Force Control (G-CON) chassis.

4. Proven powertrain

In being able to seat up to seven occupants, Honda also made care to give the BR-V a capable engine. Specifically, its 1.5-liter inline-4 mill can produce up to 118 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. It is then paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

With that setup, Honda claims that it can return up to 22.58 km/liter of fuel economy. That of course is particularly useful considering fuel prices nowadays.

5. Travel in style

Of course, traveling in style is also on the mind of Filipino car buyers. To this end, the BR-V assumes an SUV-like exterior style. Beyond that though, it actually provides 201mm of ground clearance which enables it to tackle rough roads.

Also, it gets LED daytime running lamps, a pair of halogen projector headlamps, and a set of 16-inch alloy wheels.

6. Affordable acquisition

The Honda BR-V is also quite affordable considering what it offers as a vehicle. The entry-level BR-V S 1.5 CVT for starters, can be had for Php 1,048,000. The top-spec BR-V V 1.5 CVT meanwhile, can be had for Php 1,168,000.

On top of that, the BR-V S 1.5 CVT for model year 2022 is currently offered with a Php 60,000 discount. This is then paired with a free 1-year Periodic Maintenance, which is packaged with 30 percent off on selected BR-V accessories.

Also, Honda Philippines promises affordable maintenance costs for the BR-V in the span of its lifetime. This means more room in the budget especially for out-of-town beach and camping trips.
