Changan Auto has revealed that it will launch 30 products in several markets worldwide by 2025 under its “Vast Ocean Plan”. This covers 3,000 new overseas outlets, and it will aid Changan in becoming a world-class automotive brand.

Besides establishing itself as a more recognizable nameplate in the global market, the Vast Ocean Plan also aims to exceed Changan’s annual overseas sales volume target of 1.2 million units. It likewise plans to add over 10,000 overseas employees.
Another long-term goal shared by Changan is to become an intelligent low-carbon travel technology company. Its commitment to this particular goal was shown off at the recently concluded Shanghai Auto Show, where it showed off a number of electric and hybrid cars such as the S7, SL03, Uni-V DD, Uni-K DD, and the Lumin.
One sure sign that the brand is on track to achieve its Vast Ocean Plan targets is the fact that it saw a two percent year-on-year increase in its global car sales figures in 2022. Out of all the vehicles sold by the Chinese car maker last year, 284,000 were new energy vehicles. This is equivalent to a net profit of $1.122 billion or around Php 62 billion at current exchange rates.

According to Changan Motor Philippines (CMPI) President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, the brand’s experience is proof of how a “Chinese global enterprise can drive the industry chain, upstream as well as downstream, tap into new territory, and thrive globally by taking giant steps in future-forward technology.” She further added that CMPI supports Changan Global in its vision.
Currently, CMPI has a total of five in its local lineup. There’s the CS75 Plus, CS35 Plus, CS55 Plus, the all-new Uni-K, and the all-new Uni-T.
For now, CMPI is yet to share if the local market is getting any of those 30 upcoming car products, so stay tuned here on Philkotse for more updates.
