If you don’t have a plan for this weekend yet, the BGC Car Club (BGCCC) has something you may not want to miss. This coming Sunday, February 12, the BGCCC will hold its Car and Art Festival happening on 4th Avenue corner 26th Street in the Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
BGCCC's Car and Art Festival is happening this weekend
As the name suggests, the event will combine automobiles and art into one festival, making it more interesting for eventgoers. Familiar names in the car scene will be present at the NEO Park including Overland Kings Philippines, Atoy Customs, and Autobot Off-Road.
With that being said, you can expect to see fascinating off-roading builds at the event. This might spark your interest in overlanding, an outdoor car activity that brings adventurous souls to remote areas.
Meanwhile, car-related art exhibits will be showcased at the NEO Atrium from artists such as Ramon Orlina, Ronald Ventura, Michael Sagaran, and Christopher Lacson.
The event will showcase interesting cars
The Car and Art Festival will hold different talks on art and automobile, which will be conducted by distinguished art curator Paul Schwartzbaum, designer Kenneth Cobonque, artists Jefre Manual and Paolo Delgado, and real estate magnate and NEO president Charlie Rufino.
Music from the 80s and 90s will also be part of the event. Performances by The Dawn, Bell Choir, Sisters of Mary Choir, and Manila String Quartet will start at 11:00 p.m. Later at 1:00 p.m., a DJ set by DJ Mike Lavet will entertain the event goers.
Not only will you get to enjoy a Sunday filled with exciting automobiles and art, but you also help generate scholarship funds for underprivileged students. Another beneficiary is the Bayani Scholarship program of Fort Bonifacio Development Foundation, Inc. (FBDFI), a university grant program for students of BGC school partners in Taguig City.
A car event for a cause
The upcoming Car and Art Festival will open its doors at 7:00 a.m. and will wrap up at 5:00 p.m. TheBGC Car and Art Festival is presented in partnership with the Bonifacio Global City Estate Association (BGCEA), Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation (FBDC), and Caltex.
