Following the strong sales performance of the outgoing Ford Territory, the next-gen iteration is having a good start as it sold 1,500 units in just two months.
Next-gen Ford Territory
The next-gen 2023 Ford Territory made its debut at this year’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), coming with new features that make it a more enticing buy in the compact crossover market. As such, Ford Philippines shared six reasons for how the next-gen Territory managed to achieve the said sales performance.
Number one on the list is the more powerful yet fuel-efficient engine. The new model still has the same 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine but now makes 158 horsepower and 248 Nm of torque, translating to a 10 percent performance boost.
Next up is the new transmission with new selectable drive modes. The turbocharged gasoline mill now sends power to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), ditching the use of a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It has four selectable drive modes – Eco, Normal, Sport, and Mountain.
It boasts new and convenient features
The third reason why the Ford crossover is said to appeal to the market is the new design. Exterior-wise, the next-gen version gets a beefier yet executive-looking appearance complemented by a honeycomb grille, signature daytime running lights (DRLs), and full LED headlights. Ford added 10mm to the wheelbase and ground clearance.
Moving to the fourth reason, Ford Philippines boasts new interior upgrades including access to a wireless charger, a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, and dual-zone climate control. Moreover, the top-of-the-line Titanium X is equipped with Air Anion Generator with PM2.5 monitoring.
Fifth on the list is the enhanced safety feature package. It now has a blind spot information system with rear cross-traffic alert and door open alarm, hill descent control, and enhanced active park assist. Prospective buyers who will opt for the top-spec variant will benefit from the full suite of advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) functions such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping aid.
The next-gen model had a strong start
Last but not least is the 5-year or 150,000 km warranty (whichever comes first), providing potential customers with a worry-free ownership experience.
You can get all the new features with the Ford Territory Titanium X priced at Php 1,599,000. Meanwhile, the base Territory variant can be yours for Php 1,335,000.
