The Hyundai Getz is a supermini front-engine passenger car widely favored for its affordability and advantageous size. Also, finding a spot to park is easy as it can rest in challenging areas regular-sized vehicles will not fit. Launch
The Hyundai Getz was introduced in 2001 as the Korean automobile company’s entry to the growing demand for minicars worldwide. It initially debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show. A year after, Hyundai Motor Company presented the vehicle at the Geneva International Motor Show. It is marketed as the Hyundai Click in South Korea, the Hyundai TB in Japan, the Hyundai Getz Prime in India, the Dodge Brisa in Venezuela, and the Inokom Getz in Malaysia.
In 2005, a refreshed version of the Hyundai Getz was unveiled at the International Motor Show Germany and was offered as a three and five-door hatchback. Locally, Hyundai Philippines introduced the Hyundai Getz in 2005. In the same year, it received the Subcompact Car of the Year award from Car Awards Group Inc. However, Hyundai Philippines is no longer selling the Getz. In its current model lineup, you can instead opt to get the Eon mini subcompact hatchback.
Exterior
The Hyundai Getz measures 3,825mm long, 1,665mm long, and 1,495mm tall. The mini car’s exterior is a refreshing sight on the road amidst overly designed vehicles. Notable features include the long black radiator grille with the Korean automaker’s insignia, a pair of petal-shaped headlights, front fog lights, black-colored front protective lining, body-colored side mirrors and door handles, side protective moldings, rear window with washer and wiper, a pair of tail lights, and a set of 14-inch steel wheels.
Interior
The Hyundai Getz is built with a decent 2,455mm wheelbase providing a decent cabin for four passengers. Interior highlights include reclining and sliding seats covered in cloth, power windows, steering wheel with a gear knob, a digital clock, trip odometer, lamps on the center cabin and luggage area, air conditioning system, heater ducts, three cup holders, and door map pockets for storage.

The Hyundai Getz is built using the Hyundai-Kia TB platform. It is fitted with an independent MacPherson strut suspension at the front and a semi-independent suspension with coil springs and a torsion axle. Its braking power is assisted by ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear.

The Hyundai Getz runs using a 94 horsepower 1.4-liter and a 105 horsepower 1.6-liter inline-four 16 valve engine. It is mated with a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.
