General Motors announced that it has to come up with a smaller and more affordable Hummer to meet the demands of a bigger market. With this, General Motors came up with the Hummer H3 which is also a result of the success of the H2. The H3 is an off-roader just like its predecessor, the H2. The H3 is based on GM’s mid-size truck platform.
Launch
The Hummer H3 was offered from 2005 to 2010 as an off-road vehicle by General Motors. It is the smallest of all the Hummer lineup. It is a 5-door SUV or a 4-door pickup truck.
Exterior
The Hummer H3 comes with an aggressive and composed exterior design. The bumpers (front and rear) are made of steel and the grille is made of chrome with a 7-slot. Its headlamps are made of dual composite halogen with an automatic exterior lamp control. It has front fog lamps. It has power-adjustable, manual-folding outside mirrors.
Interior
For the interior of a Hummer H3, the front seats have a power lumbar control with adjustable head support with map pockets on the back of the seats. The up-level décor is made with leather and complementary piping seat and interior trim. The first and second row has leather seats with 8-way power front passenger adjustable seat. Front and driver passenger seats are heated and the steering wheel is wrapped in leather.
The Hummer H3 also comes with a remote keyless entry and a universal home remote. Included on the home remote are the garage door opener, programmable driver and passenger visors and lighted vanity mirrors. Included are cruise control, theft-deterrent system, air conditioning, and defogger for the rear window.
Technology & Safety Features
For the tech and safety features of the Hummer H3, it includes airbags for the driver and front passenger. A head curtain, side-impact for the front and rear are available. Child restraints are available for younger passengers. Also included is an automatic crash response, stolen vehicle and crisis assistance, remote door unlock, hands-free calling, among others.

The Hummer H3 has a 4-wheel drivetrain. It has a GM GMT345 platform. Its steering type is a power rack and pinion. Its front suspension is an independent type while the rear suspension is a semi-floating type.

The Hummer H3 is equipped with a 5.3-liter V8 engine the generates 300hp at 5,200rpm and maximum torque of 320 Nm. It is mated to an automatic transmission.
