Despite being based in China, where the COVID-19 coronavirus sprang out, Geely, the Chinese car company and the current owner of well-known brands like Volvo and Lotus, has managed to fight it.
"Geely Icon I just drive mobility"
Through effective quarantine measures and social distancing, it managed to keep its employees safe from infection. Because of that, it’s one of the few car companies in China to continue its operations.
Now, Geely is looking to protect its customers from the virus in question through one of its new models, the Icon crossover.
Geely Icon’s N-95 air filtration system
Introduced in the closing days of February 2020, the Geely Icon is Geely Automobile’s new, electric-powered crossover.
It’s equipped with the Intelligent Air Purification System and it works together with the Icon’s air conditioner, which the company claims can supply the cabin with clean air void of harmful allergens, dust, bacteria, and even viruses.
Yes, including the dreaded COVID-19 coronavirus.
Apart from the virus and bacteria protection, the filtration system is a boon for allergic people

Geely’s history of in-car filtration systems
As novel as the Icon’s air filtration sounds, this idea isn’t actually new for Geely. China, after all, is known for its smoggy, polluted air, so a vehicle capable of providing fresh clean air is definitely a selling point there.
Case in point: the Volvo XC90, a hybrid, a midsize luxury crossover that is advertised as capable of filtering out harmful airborne particles like pollen, dust, and smog via Volvo’s Interior Air Quality System.
The XC90. It's luxurious and it has Volvo's CleanZone ensuring safety from allergens
Note also that Tesla, the American electric car manufacturer, also sells the Tesla Model X and the Model S. Both of these can come with a Bioweapon Defense Mode, which is essentially a high-efficiency particulate filter capable of dealing with pollen, bacteria, mold, and dust.
If you squint hard enough, it looks like a model from that British SUV maker
