As several areas in the Philippines are currently moving on from the enhanced community quarantine to the less restrictive but still stringent general community quarantine, Toyota Motor Philippines is also implementing new standard operating procedures as well as precautionary measures to keep its customers and employees safe from the COVID-19 threat.
These SOPs and safety measures are in line with the Department of Health standards, as well as the World Health Organization’s standards.

TMP’s New Normal
For dealerships, employees and customers entering their facilities will be checked for their temperature. The dealership itself will have regular disinfections with a higher frequency for common areas.
To ensure social distancing, the layout of reception areas, as well as showrooms, have also been changed. The number of persons entering the facility at any given time are now also controlled to avoid crowing.
Customers are also advised to set appointments first before visiting the dealer. To support this, dealers will only accommodate those with confirmed service appointments. These can be booked hassle-free through the MyToyota PH digital tool just recently launched.
TMP continues to help its customers
TMP is also aware of its customer’s plights and hardships during the length of the ECQ. As such, TMP has extended expiring insurance policies under Toyota Insure and warranty coverages for Toyota vehicles until after the ECQ is lifted.
Toyota Financial Services has also extended payment terms for its customers for the same duration as the aforementioned. Periodic maintenance schedules for Toyota vehicles are likewise given an extension after the ECQ is lifted.

TMP President Mr. Atsuhiro Okamoto also says, “While we are facing challenging times, this also presents an opportunity to come back better and stronger, to review our current processes and find improvements, to constantly provide ever better products and services, and to make our team members’, customers’, and partners’ lives safer and more convenient.”
Mr. Okamoto also adds that it will take a while for everyone to get used to the new normal, but with each other’s help and encouragement, we can all get through it.
He also encouraged everyone to observe safety measures when going out. The TMP president then added that TMP is working hard to prepare Toyota's dealership network and to ensure the safety of everyone upon resumption of operations.
