Now the Toyota Hilux is not a tough work pickup, it is a luxury truck.

Having gone through a number of refreshing changes since its first footprint to the auto industry in 2015, the Toyota Hilux has become an off-road hero and an impressive truck for many. But still, it is not a luxury pickup truck. This seems to be one of the main reasons that attract Carlex - an aftermarket specialist to roll up its shirtsleeves to make the Toyota Hilux 2018 become a luxurious off-roader.

The latest car news informed that the Toyota Hilux 2018 exterior is adorned with a custom body kit including spoiler, sills, arch extensions, a hood cover and a new front and rear bumpers, all are made of advanced plastic technology. The whole car is covered by an aggressive camouflage and ribbed by qualified BF Goodrich Terrain tires.

An increased wheelbase and Pedders suspension lift-kit bring driver comfort, enjoyment on both off road and on road trips.

For the cabin, the steering wheel, dash and seats have been completed in a hand-stitched black leather wrap. Moreover, new rubber floor carpets, a new sound system, a soft-close trunk and soundproof doors have also been added to the refreshed design.

According to the company, the main role of Carlex Design was setting up a thorough project on designing exterior and interior of chosen pickup models.

Toyota also proudly stated that the redesigned Toyota Hilux is a special pickup truck that includes all the best of a pickup: impressive exterior accompanied with a unique body kit and a lot of improvements in off-road capability as well as a precisely manual interior.

The Toyota Hilux 2018 engine is not upgraded, runs on both gas and diesel including a 3.0-liter diesel V6 and a 4.0-liter V8 gas.

Still, price of the Toyota Hilux 2018 hasn't been revealed. In terms of trucks, you can also take a look at the used Toyota Tundra 2019 for sale at affordable prices with the real-wheel drive being standard and four-wheel drive being optional. With its spacious cabin, the car will surely offer the whole family a comfortable drive.

The Toyota Hilux 2024 is a midsize pickup offered in the local market as both fleet and regular units. Toyota Hilux Prices Philippines range from PHP 879,000 to PHP 2,166,000 with 13 variants, spanning from the basic cab & chassis 4x2 model to the range-topping GR Sport 4x4. It is also available in two turbodiesel engine options and four gearbox choices, accompanied by eight exterior colors. Dimensions start at 5,285mm in height, 1,800mm in width, and 1,700mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,085mm. Among the rivals to the Toyota Hilux in the market are the Mitsubishi Strada, Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger, and the Isuzu D-Max.

This popular pickup continues to evolve and slowly move upmarket after gaining luxuries. The most significant revolutionary jump of the Hilux happened in 2004 when the seventh generation of the model was introduced. It was the first 21st-century iteration of Toyota's pickup. It is also the first generation to ride on Toyota’s new Innovative Multi-purpose Vehicle architecture. It provided improved safety, better ride comfort, modern D-4D diesel engines, more interior space, and a more modern aerodynamic body.

The current 8th generation offers a more refined and stylish design than its predecessor, but the tradition of being a tough pickup continues. It received a much-awaited refresh in 2020.
