Now there is a new version - Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016.

Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 is designed to bring more comfortable space to driver than ever before.
Thin and elegant in design has become a thing of past. Toyota is seeking to broaden the appeal of the Hilux with this new model by making the body longer and making the car more suited to road.
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 Philippines: Interior
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 is an innovation of the last model rather than an different look.
Despite the high bonnet, the model’s leather seats are snug and offer good support.
These seats give this pick-up truck the adaptability to carry drivers of various shapes and sizes.
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 Philippines: Accessories
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 is good with excellent everyday usability.
It embraces minimalist in its design language. The dashboard layout, the new 7in touchscreen display are simple to use.
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 Philippines: Engine & Performance
Powering the Toyota Hilux is the new 2.4-litre diesel engine for only Europe customers and the more effective 2.8-litre unit for the rest of the world. Toyota came to a brave determination since the 3.0-litre unit has dominated the prior Hilux’s range for a long time.
The 2.4l engine has been up-powered with an output of 148bhp and 295lb ft, which is more respectable than the 3.0 engine’s results. While it produces ultimate pulling power, it still lacks the torque requirements of many owner-operators.
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 offers a choice of a six-speed manual or an automatic gearbox, which makes the car can achieve 41.5mpg on the combined cycle. That still needs to be improved more since the recent pickup truck models launched in the last two years offer no less than 42mpg.
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 does a noticeable improvement over the old one by increasing the torsional rigidity of 20%, which should support its handling, ride and durability.
Although Toyota Hilux’s leaf spring set-up is designed at the back, ride and handling is still good enough for drivers. However, the leaf spring is not quite conductive to silky running and may not be as convenient as the independent coil springs of the Nissan Navara NP300.
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 offers great off-road ability. It is set with an electronically controlled 4wd system with selected modes and front and rear limited-slip differentials with a locking function at the rear.
Even though Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 goes up the kerb weight, the car is quite nimble off the road.
Worth mentioning is the oil temperature sensor that will mechanically block the all-wheel drive system to avoid excessive heating in 4wd mode.
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 has the widest load bay with 1525mm long x 1645mm wide and gives an improved payload capacity at 1110kg.
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 Philippines: Conclusion
Despite some perceived shortcomings, Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 is still probably the strongest mass produced piece of machinery
Toyota Hilux Invincible 2016 still have some perceived shortcomings, but it’s probably the strongest mass produced piece of machinery with unbreakable reliability, toughness and off-road ability that make the Hilux so famous around the world.
