Toyota PH now accepts online payment via myTOYOTA Wallet app

A more convenient way of transacting with Toyota.

Times are changing fast. Most transactions nowadays are done online or cashless through smartphones so customers won’t have to carry a huge amount of cash. This type of payment is seen with more importance in the new normal as face-to-face transactions must be limited to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Toyota Motor Philippines introduces the myTOYOTA Wallet app

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), in partnership with Toyota Financial Services Philippines (TFSPH), adapts to that change with the introduction of the myTOYOTA Wallet app. It was first launched in Japan in 2019, followed by Thailand in 2020. The app is now available in the Philippines, with plans for global expansion.

The myTOYOTA Wallet app allows customers in the country to pay for Toyota services, including transactions such as periodic maintenance service (PMS), vehicle repairs, parts, accessories, and vehicle insurance payments. TMP plans to add more in-app features in the upcoming years.

It has an easy-to-use interface

To get started, Toyota customers only need to download the myTOYOTA Wallet app on either App Store or Google Play. Once they are in, the app will ask them to link their selected credit and debit cards (Visa or Mastercard). Up to three cards can be registered per account. Toyota customers are given as much as Php 100,000 transaction limit per month.

TMP assures its valued customers that the myTOYOTA Wallet app is protected against fraudulent transactions. It comes with security features such as point-to-point encryption, one-time password (OTP), and mobile PIN authentication. With this, Toyota customers can enjoy a safe and more convenient way of transacting with Toyota dealerships nationwide.

To complete the online experience, TMP is encouraging its customers to download the myTOYOTA app which is available on App Store and Google Play as well. It provides a platform where customers can benefit from online features such as viewing of vehicle specifications, 360-degree model viewer, and schedule booking, among others.

The Toyota Hilux 2024 is a midsize pickup offered in the local market as both fleet and regular units. Toyota Hilux Prices Philippines range from PHP 879,000 to PHP 2,166,000 with 13 variants, spanning from the basic cab & chassis 4x2 model to the range-topping GR Sport 4x4. It is also available in two turbodiesel engine options and four gearbox choices, accompanied by eight exterior colors. Dimensions start at 5,285mm in height, 1,800mm in width, and 1,700mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,085mm. Among the rivals to the Toyota Hilux in the market are the Mitsubishi Strada, Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger, and the Isuzu D-Max.

This popular pickup continues to evolve and slowly move upmarket after gaining luxuries. The most significant revolutionary jump of the Hilux happened in 2004 when the seventh generation of the model was introduced. It was the first 21st-century iteration of Toyota's pickup. It is also the first generation to ride on Toyota’s new Innovative Multi-purpose Vehicle architecture. It provided improved safety, better ride comfort, modern D-4D diesel engines, more interior space, and a more modern aerodynamic body.

The current 8th generation offers a more refined and stylish design than its predecessor, but the tradition of being a tough pickup continues. It received a much-awaited refresh in 2020.
