Previously, we reported about the possibility of the debut of the all-new Toyota Avanza sometime in November 2021. It will be a significant piece of update for the Japanese MPV’s nameplate considering that the current second-generation model is already a decade old.
All-new Toyota Avanza front view
Well, it seems like the speculated launch date will be met as the next-gen model has already hit a Toyota showroom in Indonesia. In a report by Autonetmagz.com, it showed the major design overhaul of the all-new Toyota Avanza Veloz which can be seen on both the exterior and interior of the vehicle.
The all-new Toyota Avanza Veloz comes with a similar face as the Toyota Rush minus its new and large blacked-out grille. It scraped off the split headlight design and went for a single finish that offers a sleek appearance. Chrome trims are integrated to highlight the sharp character lines of the front fascia.
Meaner looking front end
Just like the outgoing Toyota Avanza, the new model still doesn’t use black claddings on the wheel arches. Instead, the wheel arches flaunt a wide-body finish complemented by its new wheel design. Another update on the wheels is the use of disc brakes for the rear, replacing the drum brakes.
The side profile looks snazzy
As for the rear end, the redesigned MPV gets a new taillight design that is now a full-width type. Each side of the taillight closes by the Toyota logo which is bumped for a more dynamic look. It also comes with a silver skid plate to add texture to the rear design.
Welcoming passengers with a more premium-like finish
The interior of the all-new Toyota Avanza has received major updates as well. For starters, the steering wheel comes with a new design that looks a lot similar to the one inside the Toyota Innova. The number of white trims is multiplied which can be seen on the center console, door panels, and front seats.
The new rear monitor is one of the highlights of the update
New to the interior is the roof monitor for the rear passengers. This will improve the family car characteristic of the Japanese MPV. Moreover, the practicality is enhanced with the addition of more seat pockets, including a dedicated smartphone pocket located behind the front seats.
It now joins the full-width taillight club
Toyota didn’t disclose the official specification of the all-new Avanza just yet including the pricing and launch dates. But despite that, the major design overhaul of the next-gen model is looking a lot promising.
