That said, the Geely Okavango has a few tricks up its sleeve. Not only can it comfortably seat seven, but this model’s seats can be configured in 19 different ways.

With all the rear seats folded down, the Okavango can also provide a pretty substantial maximum cargo capacity of 2,050-liters. This vehicle also comes with a three-zone air-conditioning system with independent controls.

According to a report by Autoindustriya.com, the 2021 Okavango will have two variants, Comfort and Urban. Looking at the specs, both variants are well equipped. The top-spec Urban variant comes with six airbags, leather-clad power-adjustable seats, eight speakers, and a 360-degree panoramic camera.

It also has auto headlamp control, and electronically folding side mirrors. On the other hand, the entry-level variant comes with dual-front airbags, a reverse camera, fabric seats with manual adjustment, and only four speakers.

Both variants, however, come standard with a 10.25-inch touchscreen with QD link, hill descent assist, hill-start assist, tire pressure monitoring, LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, and an electronic parking brake.

The Okavango is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine that’s paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The said powerplant is paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission, and it can make up to 190 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque.

Of note, the Okavango comes with the same engine as the one seen in the Geely Azkarra, which is Geely’s challenger in the five-seater compact crossover segment.

Moreover, Geely PH is already accepting orders for the 2021 Okavango. If you ordered an Okavango now, you can also get up to Php 90,000 off of its price, plus a three-year periodic maintenance package which includes labor, oil change sessions, and parts replacement.

The expected pricing for the 2021 Okavango starts at Php 1,208,000 for the Comfort variant while the Urban variant gets a price tag of Php 1,328,000.

Geely Okavango

The Geely Okavango 2023 is the first seven-seater from Geely Philippines for the Philippine market, which also makes it the biggest model in the lineup so far. Its quirky name was taken from the Okavango Delta, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa and the 1,000th World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. Despite its unibody platform, Geely’s third model for Filipino customers is actually longer and wider than mainstream contenders in the truck-based midsize SUV category, measuring 4,835mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,785mm high. Ground clearance, however, is at a rather low 194mm.

The Geely Okavango’s price Philippines ranges from Php 1,523,000 for the base Comfort variant to Php 1,765,000 for the range-topping Urban Plus. Rivals in its segment include the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Nissan Terra, Isuzu D-Max, and Ford Ranger
