The Japanese auto maker Mitsubishi teased customers with first shots of its forthcoming next-generation Multipurpose Vehicle (MPV), which will be displayed at the 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show next month.
Only a short time before the grand unveiling, Mitsubishi has graciously revealed some pictures of the yet-to-be-officially-named seven-seater for all its customers to see.

Until then, the firm will continue to introduce this still unnamed vehicle as the next-generation crossover MPV even though some sources report this seven-seater will be dubbed as the Expander. A cursory glance indicates that, indeed, this new MPV still flaunts the marque’s Dynamic Shield design language up front, offers a tall ride height, and is adorned with stylish design elements all round.

The all-new MPV measures 4,475mm x 1750mm x 1700mm (length x width x height). The car is compact yet roomy enough to accommodate up to 7 people in comfort. Ground clearance is a very capable 205 mm.

What makes the car apart from its direct rivals such as the Suzuki Ertiga, the Mobilio, the Avanza, and the Innova is the spacious cabin for 7 adults and their baggage. The inside is adorned with prime elements, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a modern yet simple dashboard design and layout, and physical dials. Naturally, class-topping cabin space makes for versatility for all types of passengers and hauling bulk of items.

Motivation is powered by a 1.5-liter engine paired with either a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual gearbox. The company states that the Next-Generation MPV is expected to bring the utmost in efficiency and power.

At this time, not much else was leaked about this brand-new seven seater vehicle, including the official name. Stay tuned, however, as we will impart the news and much more to you once these are published.
