On May 20, 2020, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) released the list of its offices that have reopened as multiple areas across the country shifted from enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) to general community quarantine (GCQ).
As Metro Manila transitioned to general community quarantine on June 1, more LTO offices started to reopen its premises to accommodate more people.
According to LTO’s latest advisory, the LTO branches located in National Capital Region (NCR), Laguna, and Region III will reopen on June 3, 2020.
If you are planning to visit your local LTO office, remember to wear a face mask since it will be mandatory and observe social distancing at all times.
The online booking appointment page of LTO
LTO recently launched an online tool for its customers at www.LTO.net.ph so they can be prioritized during their visit. With the help of this online tool, customers have the opportunity to book an online appointment for LTO’s driver’s license renewal or motor vehicle renewal appointment. Customers can also check their existing online appointment.
Keep in mind that customers under 21 years old and 60 years old and above will not be allowed to transact within an LTO office. This is in response to Executive Order No. 112, series of 2020 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Checkpoints are still set around the Metro so be sure to bring the proper documents with you at all times

The Land Transportation Office also clarified that the two-month grace period it provided during the ECQ is still up for grabs. Only licenses or renewals that were set to expire during the ECQ are included in the grace period.
For individuals who are currently residing outside NCR, Laguna, and Region III, and are planning to renew their expired car registrations in the offices located in those areas, LTO will provide these individuals permission to travel only for the sole purpose of renewing their registrations.
