Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) concluded the 18th edition of its Isuzu Service Skills Olympics (ISSO), the brand’s annual dealer network competition.
18th Isuzu Service Skills Olympics
Isuzu Philippines said that the ISSO is meant to showcase the technical competency and service knowledge of Isuzu Aftersales personnel nationwide. The 18th edition of the said competition was participated by 29 teams coming from different dealerships nationwide.
Each team is composed of the following: Service Advisor, Parts Staff, and two Service Technicians. The participants went to different stages of knowledge and skills testing that are related to their respective roles in the service shop.
Maria Noemi Cabaltera of Isuzu Makati bested its rivals in the Service Advisor category. Following in second place is Marius Adrian Pablo of Isuzu Cabanatuan, and in third is Cryser Ryan Carmona of Isuzu Pasig.
Riza May Cabus of Isuzu Pagbilao, on the other hand, took home the top honors in the Parts Staff category. Coming in second place is Felipines Bangcaya of Isuzu Bulacan, and third is Hazel Ann Ramos of Isuzu Calapan.
Deolito Galono and Raymundo Eduque III of Isuzu Bulacan reign supreme
The Service Technician category was ruled by Deolito Galono and Raymundo Eduque III of Isuzu Bulacan. Coming in as runner-ups were Christopher Jateco and Romeo Nayanga Jr. of Isuzu Pasig, and Sani James Maghanoy and Alex Roble of Isuzu Cagayan De Oro.
After computing all the category points, Isuzu Bulacan was hailed as the Dealer Grand Champion of the 18th ISSO.
IPC president Tetsuya Fujita said that the aftersales personnel is one of the reasons why Isuzu achieved the number one truck brand title for 23 consecutive years.
“With your commitment, we are able to achieve the number 1 truck brand title for 23 consecutive years. People continue to trust the Isuzu brand because of the Isuzu advantage that we offer which is our top-notch aftersales service and support,” Fujita said.
Fujita also acknowledges the networks’ effort that enables the company to achieve the coveted Triple Star Award for four consecutive years awarded by its principal company Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan (IML).
Isuzu Bulacan clinches the Dealer Grand Champion award
IML executive officer and vice president for aftersales Naohiko Yanagawa observed the competition and was also present during the awarding ceremony.
“Globally, Filipinos are known to be very talented and dedicated workers, which is why it is not surprising that almost every year Isuzu Philippines will get a podium finish at the Isuzu I-1 Grand Prix World Technical Competition (I-1GP),” Yanagawa shared.
