Geely dealerships will soon rise in Calamba, Tacloban, and Bacolod

The brand’s aggressive expansion plan is now in full swing.

Geely Philippines has been relentless in growing its dealership network in the country as part of its aggressive dealer expansion plan. It managed to inaugurate over nine dealerships ever since the start of the year including Geely Manila as its latest addition to the roster.

Now, the Chinese automaker will be adding three new dealerships in Calamba, Tacloban, and Bacolod. A series of groundbreaking ceremonies were held in the said provinces to formally introduce them to its growing dealer network.

“I am very pleased to welcome Geely Calamba, Tacloban, and Bacolod in the Geely network as we aggressively expand our dealership network in the Southern Luzon provinces, Visayas, and the rest of the country,” said SGAP President and CEO Yosuke Nishi.

Located at AH26 Highway Brgy. Makiling, Calamba, Laguna, the 1,500-sqm. Geely Calamba will be headed by Misters Paul and Mark Tionson under Alphamile Automotive Dealers Inc. It will be designed with six service bays and a showroom to display up to six Geely vehicles.

Meanwhile, the Geely Bacolod, under MNV Auto Group Inc., is a 1,000-sqm. dealership situated along Magsaysay Ave., Bacolod City. Up to four to five Geely vehicles will be showcased in its showroom, while its service bays can accommodate six units.

Lastly, the 1,000-sqm. Geely Tacloban, located at Tabuan National Highway, Palo, Leyte, will be constructed with a five-car showroom and six service bays. With its groundbreaking ceremony, the Geely Tacloban is now Topcars Autoworld Corporation’s 7th dealership in the market.

The three upcoming Geely dealerships are expected to be fully operational by 2022. Upon completion, they will be strengthening the car brand’s vehicle lineup in the country. Geely’s local lineup includes the Coolray subcompact crossover, Azkarra compact crossover, and 7-seater Okavango.

“The addition of these three outlets will further strengthen Geely’s market presence and at the same time provide residents of these areas access to Geely’s exciting and high technology vehicles and world-class facilities,” concluded Nishi.

Geely Coolray

The Geely Coolray 2023 is a subcompact crossover. In the local market, this model has three variants with a price ranging from Php 1,083,000 to Php 1,299,000.

Under the hood of the Coolray is a 1.5-liter inline-3 turbocharged gasoline engine capable of making up to 177 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque. It is then linked to a seven-speed wet-type dual clutch gearbox sending power to its front wheels.  

Size-wise, the Coolray is 4,330mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,609mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,600mm.  

Locally, the Coolray competes against the likes of the Toyota Raize, Nissan Kicks, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-3, Honda HR-V, Chevrolet Tracker, MG ZS, among others.
