Geely Iloilo opens – Company’s 14th dealership in the Philippines

It joins Geely Cebu in its Visayan dealer network.

Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP), the official distributor of Geely vehicles in the country, has opened a new dealership in Iloilo under its dealer partner, MNV Group.

With that in mind, the Chinese automaker now has two dealerships in the Visayas region, reflecting the car brand’s commitment to reach out to more Filipinos nationwide. The new and 14th dealership of the car brand in Iloilo joins Geely Cebu in the business network of SGAP in the said region.

Located at Benigno Aquino Ave. Brgy. Dungon, Jaro, Iloilo City, the newly-opened dealership is built based on the Geely International Standards. The Geely International Standards guides its showrooms to adopt the highest standards to enhance the car buying experience for its customers.

The Geely Iloilo sits on a 1,850-sqm. land that enables it to showcase the car brand’s crossover and SUV lineup. These vehicles include the Coolray subcompact crossover which was recently hailed as the best-selling model in its respective segment last May, the Azkarra compact crossover, and the 7-seater Okavango midsize SUV.

Ilonggos may visit Geely Iloilo from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. The newly-opened dealership will further boost Geely’s presence in the Western Visayas region which SGAP said is an emerging automotive market.

“We want to stay true to our commitment to rapidly expand our dealer network to reach our growing number of customers not just in Luzon but also in Visayas and Mindanao. Now that the Geely Iloilo has been inaugurated, the goal of opening 13 more dealerships this year is now down to 10. Soon, the Chinese automaker will expand its dealership network in Manila City, Santa Rosa, Bacolod, Dagupan, San Fernando, Marikina, Las Piñas, Tacloban City, Taytay-Cainta, Marilao.

Geely Coolray

The Geely Coolray is a subcompact crossover that recently entered the Philippine automotive market. This model comes in three variants which are the Comfort Turbo, the Premium Turbo, and the Sport Turbo. Physically, all variants are the same size at 4,300 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,609 mm tall. The engine across all variants is a 1.5 liter 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline with a power output of 177 hp and 255 Nm of torque. It also features LED daytime running lights and headlights for the top-of-the-line Sport variant. The Coolray’s cabin is decked in black and accented with red design details on the dashboard and the seats. It also comes with 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment that sits at the center of the car.
