Motor Image Pilipinas (MIP), the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the Philippines, will be having a busy year ahead as the company announced that it will launch six new cars including the all-new BRZ.
This news was revealed by MIP deputy chairman and managing director Glenn Tan during an online media catchup meeting. Tan said that Subaru Philippines will be introducing six new cars in the next 18 months.
Among the Subaru cars confirmed for next year is the all-new BRZ, which has already made its global debut last November. The BRZ features a restyled exterior and it’s packed with a more powerful 2.4-liter Boxer engine that can put out 228 hp and 249 Nm of torque.

Power is then sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Yes, the Subaru BRZ is still co-developed with Toyota, which could also give us an idea of how will the 86 look like once it’s launched globally. The all-new Subaru BRZ will be launched in the Philippines in Q4 2021.
Joining the fleet of new Subaru models for next year is the Evoltis. The said vehicle will be Subaru’s challenger in the local seven-seat midsize crossover segment. Of note, the Evoltis is the same as the Ascent that’s sold in the United States.
The Subaru Evoltis can accommodate up to seven occupants
Subaru PH said the PH-bound Evoltis will be built in the brand’s plant in Lafayette, Indiana. Tan shared that the Subaru Evoltis will be priced below Php 4 million but clarified that this is not yet final. More details about the Evoltis’ price will be announced next year. Subaru PH will be launching the Evoltis in the first half of 2021.
The facelifted XV is all set to make its debut in the Philippines next year. Aside from a revamped front end, the PH-spec facelifted XV could come with SI-Drive, dual X-Mode, and EyeSight tech. More details will be announced soon as the launch date draws near. The Subaru XV will be launched in the Philippines in the first half of 2021.

The Subaru Outback will be returning to the Philippine market after spending time exploring the great outdoors. As a review, the Outback was no longer included in Subaru PH’s model lineup since March 2020. Although, the company did mention last March that it will be bringing in the all-new Outback.

Now, it’s confirmed. The Outback will be making its comeback in the local market in Q2 2021. Subaru PH says that the vehicle comes with Nappa leather and EyeSight tech.
The all-new Subaru Levorg first made its debut in Japan last August 2020. It comes with a sharper-looking exterior styling as well as a redesigned interior. The second-generation Levorg is equipped with a 1.8-liter Boxer engine that delivers 197 hp and 300 Nm of torque.

It has a Lineartronic CVT with 8-speed manual mode and a symmetrical all-wheel-drive system. And oh, the 1.8-liter Subaru Levorg is named as Japan Car of the Year for 2020-2021. The all-new Subaru Levorg will be launch in the local market during the first half of 2022.
According to Tan, the new WRX will be launched in the Philippines in Q1 or within the first half of 2022. This news caught our attention since it sort of confirms that a new Subaru WRX will be making a global debut in 2021.
However, there’s no word yet in regards to the matter but Tan’s announcement regarding the new Subaru WRX is more than enough for us to expect that a new model will debut next year. Tan added that the new Subaru WRX will be powered by a 2.4-liter Boxer engine. He also shared that the WRX STI will arrive afterward.
