Aside from the BRZ, there will be five new Subarus bound for PH market.

Motor Image Pilipinas (MIP), the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the Philippines, will be having a busy year ahead as the company announced that it will launch six new cars including the all-new BRZ.

This news was revealed by MIP deputy chairman and managing director Glenn Tan during an online media catchup meeting. Tan said that Subaru Philippines will be introducing six new cars in the next 18 months.

Subaru BRZ

Among the Subaru cars confirmed for next year is the all-new BRZ, which has already made its global debut last November. The BRZ features a restyled exterior and it’s packed with a more powerful 2.4-liter Boxer engine that can put out 228 hp and 249 Nm of torque.

Subaru WRX

According to Tan, the new WRX will be launched in the Philippines in Q1 or within the first half of 2022. This news caught our attention since it sort of confirms that a new Subaru WRX will be making a global debut in 2021.

However, there’s no word yet in regards to the matter but Tan’s announcement regarding the new Subaru WRX is more than enough for us to expect that a new model will debut next year. Tan added that the new Subaru WRX will be powered by a 2.4-liter Boxer engine. He also shared that the WRX STI will arrive afterward.
