Isuzu Philippines Corporation proudly presented the special edition of the current Isuzu D-Max which they call “Boondock.” Now in its second year, a new 4x4 variant has been added to the range which should satisfy the demand for a more hardcore version of the special edition D-Max.
Introducing the 2020 Isuzu D-MAX Boondock 4x4
One of the most noticeable features of the 2020 D-Max Boondock is its customized body graphics. However, Isuzu Philippines decided to remove the blue accent at the front fascia of the Isuzu D-max 2019.
There are more colors that will be available for its exterior, namely: Cosmic Black, Red Spinel, Titanium Silver, and Silky Pearl White.

Of course, the Isuzu D-Max Boondock keeps its special features that include 265/70 R17 All Terrain Yokohoma Geolandar G015 Tires and Monotube Nitrogen Filled Performance Shock Absorbers.

Ready for any off-road adventure
The new D-Max Boondock is 5,295mm long, 1,860mm wide, and 1,900mm high (Roof Rail Included) with a wheelbase of 3,095mm and a ground clearance of 247mm.
Under the hood, the 2020 D-MAX Boondock uses a whopping 3.0L 4-cylinder diesel engine with a turbo intercooler that is capable of generating 177 hp @ 3,600 rpm and 380 Nm @ 1,800-2,800 rpm – which means that both 4x2 and 4x4 models produce the same amount of power.

Body graphic looks stylish
There will only be two variants available for the Boondock. First is the D-Max Boondock 4x4 Manual Transmission variant which starts at Php 1,725,000 while the D-Max Boondock 4x4 Automatic Transmission is priced at Php 1,795,000 – both variants are currently on a special price as of Isuzu's official webpage. This means that there is a Php 375,000 price differential just to bring home the new 4x4 variant.

The Isuzu D-Max 2023 is a 5-seater pickup truck that is available in several variants with various options for a 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain. Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is offering this truck at a price that ranges from Php 917,000 to Php 1,9055,000. There are two engine options powering the D-Max. One is a 1.9-liter RZ4E-TC inline-4 turbodiesel engine that makes 148 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, while the other is a 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX inline-4 turbodiesel engine that delivers 187 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission can be paired to the said engines.
In terms of dimensions, the D-Max spans 5,277 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,810 mm in height. It boasts a ground clearance rated at 240 mm, as well as a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Some of the competitors of the Isuzu pickup truck in the Philippines are the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, and Mazda BT-50.
