Motostrada Philippines Inc., the official distributor, and importer of Ferrari cars in the Philippines introduced two new Ferrari models for the Philippine market. The launch was done via a digital premiere on the company’s official YouTube and Facebook pages. So, what’s so special about these new Ferrari models?
Ferrari F8 Spider: The latest evolution of the 488
The F8 Spider is the latest version of the Ferrari 488 Spider. It was designed in parallel with the F8 Tributo berlinetta and it continues Ferrari’s love for hard-hitting V8 open-top cars.
Speaking of V8s, sitting behind its cockpit is one of the most successful Ferrari V8s ever made. It’s called the F154CD and it’s a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 that was crowned the “International Engine of the Year” consecutively for four years from 2016 to 2019.
The F8 Spider with the top down
Thanks to its twin-turbos, the F8 Spider has zero turbo lag. That means you get all of its 720 horsepower whenever you want it. No waiting for the turbos to spool up.
The F8 Spider can also make massive amounts of torque up to 770 Nm. Also, that kind of output means that the F154CD aboard the F8 Spider is currently the most powerful internal combustion V8 engine made by Ferrari.

Despite that power, the F8 Spider is actually a very forgiving car. In other words, it’s quite accessible to first-time supercar owners. That’s because the Italian marque gave it the Sideslip Angle Control. This system allows for better control when taking corners without sacrificing performance.
Ferrari 812 GTS: The most powerful production convertible on the road
The 812 GTS is currently the most powerful convertible hard-top that you can drive legally on the road. This is thanks to its front-mounted V12, which produces a whopping 789 horsepower and a mountain-moving 718 Nm of torque. And by having its engine mounted up-front, the 812 GTS also offers a lot of storage space.

The 812 GTS is the convertible version of the 812 Superfast. Both Ferraris share the same engine, save for the 812 GTS’ shorter gear ratios. The 812 GTS is also 75 kg lighter than the 812 Superfast. It’s also worth noting that this model is Ferrari’s first front-mounted V12 production convertible model in 50 years. And lastly, the 812 GTS is also equipped with the Sideslip Angle Control offered on the F8 Spider.
To sum it up, the 812 GTS isn’t just an evolution of the 812 Superfast. A better term would be revolutionary.
And of course, almost every surface of the 812 GTS' interior is clad in supple leather
