Recently, Mazda has made an announcement that the Mazda CX-3 2018 has been already available in the Japanese market with significant updates.
The updated CX-3 is offered with 2 engine options in its home market including a 1.8L SkyActiv-D diesel mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission and a 2.0L gasoline engine. This comes with a bit amaze when Mazda doesn’t usually choose oil burners for its models. Recently, though, it has been applying SkyActiv-D engines to more and more models in its lineup.

The CX-3 Philippines for the local market uses a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. For its front, it gets a MacPherson strut, while the rear suspension is a torsion beam type.
