Now, the Kia has fully unveiled the new design features of its compact crossover and it looks way sharper than the outgoing model. According to the Korean car brand, the all-new Sportage has been designed to sport next-gen features while still paying homage to its rich heritage.

“Reinventing the Sportage gave our talented teams a tremendous opportunity to do something new; to take inspiration from the recent brand relaunch and introduction of EV6 to inspire customers through modern and innovative SUV design,” said Kia Global Design Center Senior Vice President Karim Habib.

“With the all-new Sportage, we didn’t simply want to take one step forward but instead move on to a different level in the SUV class,” added Habib.

Exterior

Designed with Kia’s new design philosophy called Opposites United, the all-new Kia Sportage features a stretched-out grille that highlights the model aggressive SUV-like stance. The elongated grille is linked to the brand’s signature Tiger Nose grille to create that serves as the visual focal point of the vehicle.

Enhancing the front-end of the compact crossover is its boomerang-shaped daytime running lamps (DRLs), providing an edgy and sharp look to it. The sharp design details have been continued to the side with taut lines cutting across the vehicle’s refined body surfaces.

New to the Kia Sportage is a blacked-out roof that complements the new C-pillar for a more striking look. Meanwhile, chrome trims have been fitted on the D-pillar to accent the rear spoiler which ultimately brings a sportier aesthetic to the rear end.

Speaking of the rear, the boomerang-shaped design detail upfront has been embedded in the taillights as well. The taillights are connected by a bar which helps highlight the model’s wide SUV-like appeal. To create a sportier finish, the rear chrome cladding is stretched to each side of the lower bumper to form a dual exhaust design.

Interior

Moving now to the inside, the all-new Kia Sportage has been purposely designed to offer an ergonomic layout and be equipped with the latest onboard tech to create an inspiring space. The sculpted integrated curve display with a slim touchscreen pad already provides an innovative feel in the cabin.

Driver and front passenger seats combine high-tech with high comfort in featuring a slim shell design. Also, at the rear of the two front seats are integrated hanger-type design which allows clothing and handbags to be hooked into place.

New to the history of the compact crossover, the car brand has added a new variant called the Kia Sportage X-Line. Its exterior features include a unique bumper, side sill, and curved roof rack. As for the interior, the X-Line gets either a signature sage green or black seating with bold quilting and black metal wood to add premium touches.
