At the Bangkok International Motor Show 2018, Ford Thailand disclosed the Raptor’s recommended retail price to be THB 1,699,000, The workhorse is also available for ordering in our neighboring market.

THB 1,699,000 is equal to P2,834,000 including value added tax, excise tax, etc. However, in Thailand, the Ford Ranger Raptor 2018 is claimed to be different from normal pickups because its rear axles are installed with coil spring suspension. Therefore, it will be imposed 25% excise tax like pickup platform vehicles (PPVs), instead of 12% like common pickups with leaf spring suspension.

In our market, there is no difference of tax levels for pickups’ rear axle spring suspension. According to the TRAIN tax reform law, pickups are not subject to excise taxes. Additionally, the Philippines is a member of ASEAN, so the PH-market Ford Ranger Raptor 2018 is exempt from import duty.

The all-new 2024 Ranger Raptor follows the design language of the second-generation T6 Ranger. That said, it gets a pair of Matrix LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, front fog lamps, and large fender flares.
To make it ready for off-road use, Ford fitted this truck with dual front and rear tow hooks. Its under chassis likewise gets protective plates.
Other features present on the Ranger Raptor’s exterior include power folding side mirrors, powder-coated side steps, and a bedliner with 230-volt and 12-volt power sockets.

Braking for the Ranger Raptor is then handled by disc brakes for all four wheels. It then uses an electronic parking brake with auto-hold control.
Like the regular Ranger, the Ranger Raptor is based on Ford’s T6-platform. This means that it comes with a ladder-frame chassis.
