PH-spec Ford Ranger Raptor 2018 predicted to be cheaper than Thai counterpart

The local Ford Ranger Raptor 2018 will be cheaper than in Thai market due to tax exemption.

The Ford Ranger Raptor 2018 has been recently launched in Thailand with official pricing and full specs. This makes Philippines car lovers more eager than ever with a great curiosity about the pickup’s price on the local market.

At the Bangkok International Motor Show 2018, Ford Thailand disclosed the Raptor’s recommended retail price to be THB 1,699,000, The workhorse is also available for ordering in our neighboring market.

THB 1,699,000 is equal to P2,834,000 including value added tax, excise tax, etc. However, in Thailand, the Ford Ranger Raptor 2018 is claimed to be different from normal pickups because its rear axles are installed with coil spring suspension. Therefore, it will be imposed 25% excise tax like pickup platform vehicles (PPVs), instead of 12% like common pickups with leaf spring suspension.
