A glimpse of future Peugeot electric vehicles.

The era of all-electric vehicles is closer than ever as more automakers are introducing new electric vehicle (EV) models in their respective lineups. Peugeot is one of the brands that is tapping into this market with the announcement of the Inception concept at the 2022 Paris Motor Show.

Peugeot Inception is a concept that will give us a glimpse of what’s next for the brand in the EV world. It will take advantage of “BEV-by-design” next-generation electric platforms that will underpin future Peugeot electric models. This will be a follow-up to the Peugeot e-Legend electric concept revealed at the same auto show last 2018.

Not a lot of details have been revealed by the French automaker. Although, the company did mention that the new design language will still benefit from current signature cues such as the feline stance and luminous three-claw lighting. But this time, these will be transformed to complement the brand’s vision of an all-electric lineup in the future.

The Peugeot Inception concept will also look to showcase the next-generation version of the Peugeot i-Cockpit seen in its models such as the 2008 and 3008. This driver-centric layout is said to create “new digital and physical experiences.” Moreover, the concept will embody the brand’s core values – Allure, Emotion, and Excellence.

Peugeot said that the Inception concept will pave the way for the features and technology that customers can look out for in the brand’s future cars. By next year, the Lion brand is expected to offer electrified powertrains for all of its models. And by 2025, pure electric Peugeot models will be introduced in the lineup.

You can catch the world premiere of the Peugeot Inception concept at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA on January 5 next year. It will be followed by a digital presentation and discussion on the future of the brand with the “Peugeot Brand Forward” event.
