Do note though that the version that was tested was the MG ZS 1.5-liter C+ that is available in Thailand and Vietnam. As such, the results for this variant might only apply to the top-of-the-line Philippine-spec MG ZS Style Plus 1.5 AT since it also comes with the same number of airbags, stability control, and traction control.

That said, the MG ZS that was tested managed to get a non-weighted score of 32.27 out of 36.00 in the adult occupant protection (AOP) category. More specifically, it offers good overall protection for the driver during side impacts and good protection during frontal impacts.

The model only experienced hiccups with the fitment of child seat installation, but it still managed to acquire a score of 9.98 out of 12.00.

With regards to safety assist features, the MG ZS proved to be competent at braking and avoidance and it was given a perfect score of 8.00 out of 8.00 in this test. It also managed to get a score of 3.00 out of 6.00 in the seatbelt reminder category. Do note that the ZS’s anti-lock brakes did contribute to the results of the braking and avoidance test.
