MG Philippines has partnered with contemporary folk-pop OPM group Ben&Ben as they went on a road trip using the British-bred MG vehicles. The band has also promoted its latest single, “Di Kaya Sayang,” which talks about challenges and journeys a person faces in life.
The MG RX5 Compact Crossover
Three MG vehicles were used on the road trip. Percussionist Andrew de Pano drove the red MG ZS, while bassist Agnes Reoma drove the black MG ZS. The MG ZS is the British car brand’s entry to the local subcompact crossover segment.
The popularity of the MG ZS in the country is on the rise as it offers style, practicality, and affordability. Powering the MG subcompact crossover is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine that makes 118 hp and 150 Nm of torque.
On the other hand, drummer Jam Villanueva drove the red MG RX5. This is a compact crossover that offers almost similar features as the MG ZS, only the size of the RX5 is larger. MG Philippines offers three variants for the RX5, namely Core, Style, and Alpha.

MG Philippines also further elevated the partnership with Ben&Ben by engaging popular FM radio station Wish 107.5 to air a “Wishclusive” band performance of their new single, “Di Ka Sayang.”
“We had several MG Live! free concerts lined up for 2020 and, unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we felt it more prudent to hold off on mounting these events in light of upholding public safety protocols,” says Lyn M. Buena, executive vice president and director of marketing and communication services for MG Philippines.

This extraordinary collaboration highlights the band’s love of road trips, our MG Philippines’ love for homegrown music, and our collective gratefulness for still being able to work on meaningful, creative endeavors amidst the challenges we all face,” she added.
