Mazda’s January to July 2017 sales reflect a 14.5% better performance over the same period last year, making it the best sales period year-over-year of Mazda.

With loads of brand-new models launched recently, along with an all-out effort, the official distributor of Mazda cars in our country – Bermaz Auto Philippines (BAP), announced that it has achieved a record-breaking feat. The company has experienced a strong year-on-year growth for the first seven months of 2017.

In detail, the first 7 months of 2017’s sales saw 2,521 copies coming out of Mazda showrooms. July figures alone increased to 418 vehicles, making July the 6th straight month beginning in January that the Japanese brand has smashed its own monthly sales record since BAP entered the scene in 2013. These figures reflect a 14.5 better performance over the first seven month of 2016, making it the best sales period year-over-year of Mazda.

BAP President and CEO Steven Tan shared that boosted by strong and growing demand for Mazda cars, the company will strive tirelessly to improve their forthcoming vehicles as well as their services.

He further explained that January to July 2017 sales record is the best the company has ever been since BAP took over the distribution. With such a performance, Mazda expects to see another continuous push and report groundbreaking numbers for the second half of 2017 as the company wants to again exceed its goal. Mazda also expects to provide sufficient supply to meet the increasing demand for Mazda’s latest Kodo - Skyactiv technology-equipped and Soul of Motion-inspired models.

The great performance can be attributed to the strong showing of Mazda’s all-new models like the CX-9, the CX-5 and the MX-5 RF. The growth in reservations for the newly-launched 2nd-generation CX-5, for example, has prompted the company to get its unit allocation upped by November of this year, with an expected 800 vehicles delivered.

With an excellent performance and more engaging drive in its upcoming models, Mazda believes it still keeps more customers happy.
