Maxus Philippines, the Ayala-owned importer and distributor of the Chinese commercial vehicle in the country, will be bringing the G50 compact MPV in the local market. The Maxus G50 will soon enter the local auto market
Maxus PH hasn’t released any official specs for the new G50. However, photos of the 8-seater G50 have been revealed and it looks stunning.
The G50, with its massive front grille and aggressive character lines, appears to be ready to take on its rivals in the MPV segment, which includes the Toyota Innova. The Maxus G50 possesses a boxy-type body and it measures 4,825 mm long, 1,825 mm wide, and 1,778 mm tall.
The Roland Purple paint finish gives life to the G50
As for the international G50 specs, this MPV comes with a 1.3-liter gasoline engine that produces 163 hp at 5,200 rpm and 230 Nm of torque at 1,800-4,400 rpm. Another engine option is a 1.5-liter turbo engine that produces 169 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT.
Maxus PH specifically said that the G50 compact MPV is targeted to be sold to starting families and young professionals. In addition, the Maxus G50 compact MPV will come with a purple color option called the Roland Purple, which will surely make this vehicle stand out on Philippine roads.
From front to back, the G50 is a well-designed MPV
Expect the G50 compact MPV to hit the local market by the third quarter of this year. In case you’re wondering, the Maxus G50 will go up against the likes of the Toyota Innova, Honda Mobilio, and Suzuki Ertiga. As of now, Maxus PH has yet to release the sticker price of the G50 MPV.
