Lexus ES: The perfect long-haul luxury sedan
For traveling on long distances, the Pinoy’s go-to type of vehicle nowadays is either a large comfortable van like the Toyota Alphard or the Hiace, or an SUV like the Toyota Fortuner.
Those can seat a lot of people and will have space to spare for the knick-knacks that you’ll be collecting along the way. But what about sedans? Not so much.
But what if you’re traveling alone or if there’s only two of you? Well a sedan might be a more practical choice, right? But what if you’re also after comfort and driving joy...then the Lexus ES might just be the luxury long-distance sedan for you.

Lexus ES: Luxury and power
Under the hood of the Lexus ES is the powerful 3.5-liter 2GR-FKS V6. It is capable of making up to 300 horsepower and 357 Nm of torque. Sure, it’s grunty, but it's very well behaved in traffic.
The ES looks great but in comparison to other luxury sedans, it's a bit low key
Power is sent to its front wheels via a very responsive 8-speed automatic. With that engine and transmission combination, the Lexus ES can provide you with a brisk 7.8 second 0-100 km/h time and a maximum speed of 230 km/h.
But what about the interior?

Lexus ES: Interior and safety features
Being classed as a luxury, mid-size sedan, the ES comes with a lot of equipment that’ll make and keep you comfortable and safe.
The literal lap of luxury
Interior amenities include power-adjustable seats with adjustable lumbar supports, a power tilt and telescoping steering column, the Lexus Climate Concierge which is infinitely helpful for finding the right interior temperature, a 12-inch display tied up to an incredible 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, and rain-sensing wipers.
For the safety aspect of the ES, it gets 10 SRS airbags, a blind spot monitoring system, active cornering assist, traction control, ABS with EBD, a hill-start assist, and a headlamp auto-leveling.
Overall, the interior of the ES is handsome to look at and it will wrap you in maximum comfort especially for long rides.

Lexus: The hybrid might be coming soon
With the Lexus ES 300h already being sold in other markets around the world, it’s only a matter of time that the said hybrid model will get a release here in the Philippines.
It’s definitely more efficient than the V6 while still maintaining the same number of premium features.
