Lexus ES: The perfect long-haul luxury sedan
For traveling on long distances, the Pinoy’s go-to type of vehicle nowadays is either a large comfortable van like the Toyota Alphard or the Hiace, or an SUV like the Toyota Fortuner.
Those can seat a lot of people and will have space to spare for the knick-knacks that you’ll be collecting along the way. But what about sedans? Not so much.
But what if you’re traveling alone or if there’s only two of you? Well a sedan might be a more practical choice, right? But what if you’re also after comfort and driving joy...then the Lexus ES might just be the luxury long-distance sedan for you.

Lexus ES: Luxury and power
Under the hood of the Lexus ES is the powerful 3.5-liter 2GR-FKS V6. It is capable of making up to 300 horsepower and 357 Nm of torque. Sure, it’s grunty, but it's very well behaved in traffic.
The ES looks great but in comparison to other luxury sedans, it's a bit low key
Power is sent to its front wheels via a very responsive 8-speed automatic. With that engine and transmission combination, the Lexus ES can provide you with a brisk 7.8 second 0-100 km/h time and a maximum speed of 230 km/h.
But what about the interior?
