After having received the all-new Blue Power Technology engine in October, the Isuzu D-Max will continue to get new updates for 2018 model year, which will mainly focus on the exterior design.

On the whole, new refinements will carry over the Isuzu D-Max 2018 front fascia. Specifically, the front end will be redecorated by a new radiator grille bordered by refreshed bi-LED projector headlights with LED daytime running lights. The fog lamp garnish is also slightly tuned up. All give the new D-Max a glossier and wider front facet. Remarkably, the grille and front bumper guard of the V-Cross trims will be painted metallic grey.

No work is carried out on the side and rear profiles, but for the V-Cross, a new ABS-plastic fender flare moulding and a fashion rail on the bed are both present. Completing the exterior makeover is a new set of bi-tone 18-inch alloy wheels.

Similarly, the interior will be almost unaltered but for more soft-touch panels and seats with new mono brown scheme (two-tone premium look for the V-Cross models).

Under the sheet metal, the new Isuzu D-Max will still run the 1.9L RZ4E-TC turbo diesel engine paired with 6-speed manual transmission and the 3.0L 4JJ-TC turbo diesel unit coupled with either a 6-speed automatic gearbox or a 5-speed manual. Hill-Descent Control and Hill-Start Assist will be likewise equipped to better the pickup’s performance.
According to latest car news, there is a high possibility that this would be the final for the Isuzu D-Max before it is supplied to Mazda as a complete replacement for the BT-50.

The Isuzu D-Max 2023 is a 5-seater pickup truck that is available in several variants with various options for a 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain. Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is offering this truck at a price that ranges from Php 917,000 to Php 1,9055,000. There are two engine options powering the D-Max. One is a 1.9-liter RZ4E-TC inline-4 turbodiesel engine that makes 148 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, while the other is a 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX inline-4 turbodiesel engine that delivers 187 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission can be paired to the said engines.
In terms of dimensions, the D-Max spans 5,277 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,810 mm in height. It boasts a ground clearance rated at 240 mm, as well as a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Some of the competitors of the Isuzu pickup truck in the Philippines are the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, and Mazda BT-50.
