The first vehicle that Rimac Automobili released to the market was the Concept One. Now they’re making headlines with their Rimac C_Two hypercar. The company also develops drivetrains and battery systems. The company was founded way back in 2009.

Mate Rimac, the founder, was determined to build a sports car that would define the tech of the 21st century. As Rimac Automobili develops their own concepts, they also produce and manufacture for other companies.

The Concept One battery-powered sportscar is known as the fastest electric vehicle ever produced in the whole world. This fact contributes a lot of the hype that the C_Two supercar is stirring up.

Once it enters production, the C_Two will be given a new name. If you’re wondering as to when that will be, Rimac says it’s supposed to kick off this year. He also said that the first produced version would be displayed again at Geneva.

But as for now, they haven’t decided on what they’ll call it yet. The founder also said that the produced vehicles are “livable with.” The first batch of the C_Two will enter the final creation process before the year ends.

What you can expect from the Rimac C_Two

This latest development from Rimac is like something that would come out of a movie made sometime in the 2050s. In terms of power, the C_Two has an output of 1,914 horsepower.

As for the torque, it merely chuckles at the Bugatti Chiron with is 1696 pound-feet of torque. In terms of the actual application, you can expect the Rimac to go from 0-100 kilometers per hour in only a matter of 1.85 seconds.

If you like to keep tabs about supercars, hybrid and electric ones as well, we’re sure you know that most electric vehicles experience a drop in acceleration. This is especially once the vehicle reaches high speeds. That, however, is not the case with the C_Two.

It also features two two-speed gearboxes located at the rear. This allows you to make the most out of its massive power. The top speed for this vehicle is said to be 258 miles per hour. Each of the two front wheels is equipped with single-speed gearboxes.

Moreover, each wheel has its own dedicated electric motor. This grants the user plenty of acceleration power even in slippery road conditions. This also successfully manages how much power each of the wheels receives.

It is also equipped with a unique Rimac Torque Vectoring system, also recognized as R-AWTV. This replaces the usual stability management systems and traction control that’s common in supercars. This intelligent system applies power in an adequately measured amount depending on the need of each wheel.

This lets the C_Two behave as if it’s a driftable sports car on the most, even asphalt road. It doesn’t even end there. It uses the same tech to offer you traction that’s comparable to an all-wheel-drive.
