So without further ado, here’s what the new Philippine-spec 2022 Mazda CX-9 is like.

Exterior

On the outside, not much has changed. The Mazda CX-9 is still a sleek, wagon-like vehicle shaped under the direction of Mazda’s Kodo design language. All trims still come standard with LED headlamps with an auto on/off function, LED taillights, front fog lamps, power-folding and power-adjustable side mirrors, as well as rain-sensing wipers.

For the CX-9 Black Edition variant though, it gets a bit more eye-catching with its black-colored grille and side mirrors, and its black 20-inch wheels. The said CX-9 also comes with a more flavorful-looking interior but more on that later.

For wheels, the new CX-9 Black Edition rides on a set of 20-inch black-colored alloys. The CX-9 Exclusive AWD, as well as the entry-level CX-9 Touring also has a 20-inch set. As a side note, the previous CX-9's entry-level variant came with a set of smaller 18-inch wheels.
