Although no powertrain changes are integrated, the Toyota RAV4 Adventure gets to benefit from aesthetic upgrades that help the new variant look like a proper off-road crossover. The new off-road variant still retained the hybrid electric technology of the model that gives it its sturdy performance capabilities.

Upfront, the Toyota RAV4 Adventure comes with an all-black grille that houses the re-positioned brand logo. It also pioneered the new LED projector headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs) which will be later introduced to the rest of the RAV4 range.

New 19-inch alloy wheels with a matte gray are installed, while the matching silver under-run or skid plate is retained on the rear end. Both of the said exterior design details enhance the intended off-road appearance of the new RAV4 variant.

As a way to pay homage to the classic Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser, the RAV4 Adventure will be offered with a unique bi-tone paintwork option. It is composed of an Urban Khahi body paint, paired to Dynamic Gray roof, front pillars, and rear spoiler.

Under the hood, the Toyota RAV4 Adventure uses a hybrid powertrain, consisting of electric motors and a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine that makes 222 hp. Further improving its off-road performance is its intelligent all-wheel drive that can offer a 1,650-kg towing capacity.

Toyota RAV4 Launch

In 1994, Toyota RAV4 Philippines was initially introduced as a compact SUV to provide for the urban markets’ demand. It was developed throughout the years and is now a part of the fifth-generation model. Toyota automakers abandoned the traditional rounded style and took inspiration from the 4Runner SUV and midsize truck Tacoma from the US market.

In 2022, Toyota introduced the new hybrid versions for the Philippine market. This updated model comes in two flavors: the RAV4 XLE, and the top-spec RAV4 LTD.
