Not a long time ago, we have reported about the exterior features of the upcoming 2021 MG 5. The design has been updated substantially by the British-bred carmaker to show off a classy and premium design visual.
Now, MG has released photos of the interior features of the subcompact sedan and it looks as classy as the new exterior. The most noticeable feature right off the bat is the red trims on the doors, headrests, and center console storage box.
Interior view of the 2021 MG 5
The outgoing model hosts a single-tone interior which can look bland but is justified for cost-cutting measures. The design of the dashboard is also updated that takes up like a jewel pattern.
The MG 5 is also designed with a new large chrome accent that flawlessly splits the top and bottom portion of the dashboard. It sports the controls for the HVAC and the larger 14.1-inch infotainment screen, as well as the push-start button.
The attention to detail is brilliant
Another interior feature worth mentioning is the newly-designed shift knob that looks more simplified yet classy. This is the type of shift knob normally seen on higher-end vehicles. The steering wheel, however, is still carried over to the newer MG 5. The segment-exclusive sunroof is also retained providing a premium feel at affordable pricing.
A rare design feature you see on cars below the P1-million mark
MG Philippines hasn’t released any word regarding the matter. However, this 2021 MG 5 will be launched in China later this year so it could only be a matter of time before the subcompact sedan reaches the local market.
