Ford Malaysia has recently teased the Ford Everest 2019 facelift on social media after a few months the refreshed SUV was first disclosed.
According to the postings, the updated Malaysian-spec Everest will be equipped with the Getrag 10R80 ten-speed automatic gearbox, instead of the 6R80 6-speed unit used on the ongoing model.
Although there hasn’t been any confirmation about the engine, it is predicted to be a 2.0L EcoBlue turbodiesel powertrain, also seen in the forceful Ranger Raptor.

According to the latest car news, the EcoBlue mill and 10-speed automatic transmission are already offered for the Thailand-spec Ford Everest 2019 facelift. The engine is capable of doling out 177 hp and 420 Nm of torque. However, in the Australian market, the SUV is still available with the Duratorq engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Other updates in the Ford Everest 2019 facelift contains a hands-free powered tailgate for certain versions, better materials and trim, the SYNC 3 infotainment system, keyless entry and start, xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and a bigger 3-slat grille.
As for safety features, the car now comes equipped with inter-urban autonomous emergency braking, blind spot information system, lane keeping system, rear cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.

The Ford Everest 2024 is a ladder-frame, rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive, midsize, seven-seater SUV. In the Philippine market, this model has four different variants. The Trend 4x2 AT, Sport 4x2 AT, Titanium+ 4x2 AT, and the Titanium+ 4x4 AT. Locally, its price ranges from Php 1,799,000 to Php 2,525,000.
Size-wise, the 2024 Everest is 4,904mm long, 2,201mmwide, and 1,884mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,900mm, and a ground clearance of 223mm.
Powering the all-new Everest are two engines. For the Titanium+ 4x4, it uses a 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine four-banger capable of outputting 210 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The rest meanwhile uses a 2.0-liter turbodiesel that can dish out 170 horsepower and 405 Nm of torque. Only the top-spec trim gets a 10-speed automatic gearbox paired with a 4x4 drivetrain. The rest then gets a 4x2 drivetrain and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Locally, the 2024 Ford Everest Philippines competes against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Nissan Terra, Isuzu mu-X, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, among others.
