Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) announced that it successfully handed over a cash donation worth Php 250,000 to Irosin District Hospital (IDH).
The Japanese automaker donated to a hospital in Sorsogon
To complete the handover, the car company traveled to Sorsogon. It was spearheaded by IPC Assistant Vice President for Administration Imelda Bernas and the Gencars team, which was led by Isuzu Legaspi Sales Manager Susan Reyes. Also present in the ceremony were IDH Chief of Hospital I Sherwin Amisola, MD and IDH Administrative Officer V Anecia Bojorque.
Considering that IDH is a relatively small hospital, the cash donation will be a huge help for its operations. According to Bojorque, the donation will be used to purchase additional medicine and hospital supplies. This is one of the programs the company rolled out since the launching of its “Road to Progress” vision.
The Road to Progress vision is IPC’s commitment to enriching the lives of Filipinos not only with its vehicles but also with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects. It was during the company’s 25th inaugural anniversary held at the SMX Convention Center when it introduced the vision to stakeholders.
Isuzu is one with the Filipino community
Before the year ends, IPC aims to strengthen its contribution to society by providing assistance to the medical sector. It is a timely contribution now that we are starting to recover from the disruptions caused by the pandemic. The company said that there will be two more rounds of donation projects to hospitals in the National Capital Region (NCR) and the Visayas Region.
Another goal of the Road to Progress vision is to reduce its carbon footprint moving forward. IPC is shifting its energy source from coal power to renewable sources to decrease the carbon emissions of its operations. As for its mobility department, the company is supporting the expansion of the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP). Its latest effort was turning over 28 modern PUVs in Oriental Mindoro.
