Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is celebrating its 25th inaugural anniversary in the country. A commemorative event was held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay which was joined by shareholders, dealers, suppliers, banks, media, VIPs from the industry association, and IPC executives and employees.

For the past 25 years, the Japanese marque has been offering rugged vehicles that are mostly used as reliable business partners for Filipinos. The best-selling model of the brand last year in the Isuzu Traviz which sold 4,728 units. And last June 2022, the commercial vehicle (CV) reached its 10,000-unit sales milestone.

As for the IPC’s passenger vehicle lineup, it is joined by two pickup-based vehicles with the D-Max and mu-X. The Isuzu D-Max is a versatile pickup truck that can be both a family and workhorse vehicle. Meanwhile, the Isuzu mu-X is the brand’s entry into the competitive midsize SUV market.

During the event, IPC President Noboru Murakami expressed his gratitude to the car brand’s shareholders, dealers, and business partners who continued to support the brand throughout the years.

“The main reason why IPC has attained these countless achievements throughout the years is because we have the unwavering support of each and every one of you,” said Murakami.

Furthermore, the event saw the announcement of the IPC’s new “Road To Progress” vision. It aims to realign the company’s “business process through a new perspective focusing on environment, social, and governance aspect.”

IPC shared that it is shifting its energy source from coal power plant to renewable sources like solar power plant. This will help decrease the carbon emissions of its manufacturing plant. Isuzu Motors Ltd. has also recently partnered with Toyota and Hino to develop battery-electric and fuel cell technologies for electric buses.

Lastly, IPC is also urging its dealer partners to switch to using renewable energy in the coming years so as to lower the carbon footprint of the entire Isuzu network in the country.
