The Hyundai Reina comes with no safeguard tariffs for a limited time

It also carries a low Php 5,921 monthly plan.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has imposed a safeguard tax on all imported vehicles, amounting to Php 70,000 to passenger vehicles and Php 110,000 to commercial vehicles. The additional duties imposed raised concerns from Filipino car buyers due to the resulting higher prices.

As such, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the country, rolled out the ‘Fast-Forward Drive’ to offer prices that exclude the safeguard tax for Hyundai vehicles such as the Reina, ranging from Php 683,000 to Php 733,000. Moreover, Hyundai Philippines’ ‘Fast Forward Drive’ offers the Reina at a low monthly amortization of Php 5,921 for a more convenient car ownership experience.

How does this Hyundai promo 2021 work? The Hyundai Reina offers Filipino car buyers a practical and affordable option in the subcompact sedan segment. HARI shares that the Hyundai Reina can get any job done with ease thanks to the model’s ample interior space on account of its 2,570mm wheelbase, and cargo space that can store up to 475 liters.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Reina is powered by a 1.4-liter naturally-aspirated gasoline engine capable of generating 94 hp and 132 Nm of torque. HARI offers two variants of the Reina, namely the GL MT and GL AT. The GL MT uses a 5-speed manual transmission, while the higher-grade GL AT uses a 4-speed automatic transmission.

For onboard entertainment, the Reina is offered with a 3.5-inch 1-DIN radio system as standard, with an option to upgrade to a 7-inch infotainment screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Other Hyundai vehicles such as the Grand Starex and Kona are also included in the said promo. Of note, Hyundai Philippines’ ‘Fast Forward ‘Drive’ will last until April 15, 2021 only, so contact the nearest Hyundai dealership for more details.
