Like many car manufacturers this 2020, Honda Philippines implements several pricing changes on three of their models. And more to decrease!

Honda pricing changes for 2020

As we approach the end of the first month of 2020, Honda Philippines announces several pricing changes to its model line-up. While the usual trend in pricing changes is an increase, this time, Honda Philippines has actually decreased the price of its most affordable subcompact hatch.

Honda Brio

According to the Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated’s website, the already affordable Honda Brio is going to fall its price for RS and RS Black Top variants.

In detail, its prices decreased by Php 7,000. That means that the Brio RS Black Top CVT’s price went down from Php 742,000 to Php 735,000 while the Brio RS CVT’s price decreased from Php 737,000 to Php 7,300. The Brio S MT’s prices remain unchanged.

Without a doubt, many who planning to buy the Brio this year will be pleased

Honda HR-V

While the Brio saw a price decrease, Honda’s subcompact crossover SUV, the Honda HR-V, specifically it’s RS Navi CVT variant saw a Php 13,000 price increase bringing up the price from Php 1,495,000 to Php 1,508,000. As for the HR-V E however, it’s price still remains at Php 1,295,000.

Maybe because the HR-V's becoming more and more popular? Hmmm...

Honda Civic Type R

The biggest pricing change, however, comes with the Honda Civic Type R because it’s got a Php 200,000 increase. This brings its price up from Php 2,980,000 to Php 3,180,000.

Those prices, however, are for the old batch of Honda Civic Type R’s that are still sporting the old un-updated look. As for the new, updated Civic Type Rs, we’ll just have to wait for HCPI to release details on that.

Despite the pricing change, the Civic Type R is still one of the more affordable options if you want performance out of the box
