Geely now has 19 dealerships with 3 branches opened in September

The carmaker is closing the month on a strong note.

Geely Philippines has come a long way since its first dealership expansion in Quezon Avenue last year. Now, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP), Geely’s official distributor in the country, boasts a 19-strong dealership network with the recent addition of three outlets, namely Geely Marilao, Geely Sumulong Highway, and Geely Dagupan.

This means that Geely Philippines has opened a total of four dealerships this September, including the new Geely Sta. Rosa dealership in Laguna. The automaker announced that more dealerships are expected to be inaugurated as part of its aggressive expansion plan.

“We are really ecstatic that we were able to open 4 outlets this month of September, in spite of the challenges brought by the pandemic. This month alone, we were able to open Sta. Rosa, Laguna followed by Marilao, Bulacan; Sumulong Highway, Cainta; and Pangasinan. These bring the total Geely outlets to 19, with more to be opened by yearend,” said SGAP President and CEO Yosuke Nishi.

Located at 150 McArthur Highway, Marilao, Bulacan, the Geely Marilao dealership is a 1,300-sqm. facility built with a 5-car showroom display and seven service work bays. It is managed by Autospeedygo Group, the same company that oversees Geely Baliuag in Bulacan.

Meanwhile, the new Geely Dagupan is strategically located along Jose de Venecia Highway in Pangasinan. A total of five Geely vehicles can be displayed in its showroom, while the service work bays can cater to five vehicles. Motorcentrum Corporation is the operator of the dealership.

Lastly, the 440-sqm. Geely Sumulong can display five cars, as well as accommodate six vehicles in its service work bays. The operations are spearheaded by Autohub Group, the same owner of Geely Quezon Avenue. Interested individuals may visit the dealership at Sumulong Highway, Cainta, Rizal.

“We thank our business partners the Autospeedygo Group, Autohub Group, and the Guazon Group for their confidence and commitment to the Geely brand through the opening of additional outlets under their respective franchises,” concluded Nishi.

The Geely Okavango 2023 is the first seven-seater from Geely Philippines for the Philippine market, which also makes it the biggest model in the lineup so far. Its quirky name was taken from the Okavango Delta, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa and the 1,000th World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. Despite its unibody platform, Geely’s third model for Filipino customers is actually longer and wider than mainstream contenders in the truck-based midsize SUV category, measuring 4,835mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,785mm high. Ground clearance, however, is at a rather low 194mm.   

The Geely Okavango’s price Philippines ranges from Php 1,523,000 for the base Comfort variant to Php 1,765,000 for the range-topping Urban Plus. Rivals in its segment include the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Nissan Terra, Isuzu D-Max, and Ford Ranger
