Free shuttle service routes for COVID-19 health responders

Updated Mar 23, 2020 | Same topic: COVID-19 Updates

The current heroes of the coronavirus crisis need all the help they can get.

The enhanced community quarantine measures over the entire Luzon area have made it especially difficult for frontline health workers, especially those dependent on public transportation, to join the fight against COVID-19.

With no public transportation available, many were left stranded or forced to walk long distances.

Long queues at coronavirus checkpoints as Philippine capital Manila starts month-long lockdown

To address this concern, government agencies, as well as private groups, have mobilized free shuttle services that will ferry health personnel to and from their respective areas of assignment.

The DOTr has released a list of routes to serve active-duty frontline health workers reporting to a number of major hospitals and medical facilities around Metro Manila.

Medical personnel must present a valid ID to avail of the service, will undergo temperature checks before boarding, and must observe social distancing on every trip.
