The all-new Ford Ranger Raptor is itching to make its global reveal which is slated for next month. It was recently spotted being tested in Thailand, making its presence felt. But despite a new model is coming, Ford Philippines still decided to increase the price tag of the PH-spec Ranger Raptor.

For this year, Filipino car buyers now have to pay more to get their hands on the more performance-oriented version of the Ford Ranger. The price of the Ranger Raptor has been adjusted to Php 2,048,000, a Php 50,000 increase over the model’s long-time running asking price at Php 1,998,000.
No changes were made to the Ranger Raptor. It is only expected to receive major updates once the next-gen version makes its Philippine debut. With that being said, it will still offer the same features such as the more intensive off-road styling, 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six speakers, FOX™ racing shocks, and 17-inch all-terrain tires.
The more off-road ready Ranger
Safety-wise, this midsize pickup truck still gets six airbags, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping aid, cruise control, electronic stability control (including roll-over mitigation, ABS, EBD, and traction control), rearview camera, and a Terrain Management System designed for various road conditions.
Under the hood, it is still powered by a 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine. It is capable of generating 210 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. This engine is connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters as standard.
Ford Philippines hasn’t put out an official word regarding the decision for the Ranger Raptor’s adjusted pricing. But considering that other automakers such as Toyota have updated their model lineup pricing as well, one can expect that the price hike imposed this year in the local market is caused by factors including inflation and taxes.

The 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor is a performance-oriented pickup truck. For the Philippine market, its sole variant is priced at Php 2,339,000.
Under the hood of the all-new Ranger Raptor is a 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel that can make up to 207 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is then paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox sending power to all four wheels.
