The Vision Neue Klasse concept features advanced in-car features, an electric vehicle (EV) powertrain, and sustainable materials. It has a modern-looking and futuristic exterior design, which led BMW to describe it as a vehicle that sort of “skipped a model generation.”

“The BMW Vision Neue Klasse combines our ability to innovate in the core areas of electrification, digitalization, and circularity,” said BMW AG Chairman of the Board of Management Oliver Zipse.

Finished in Joyous Bright paint, the Vision Neue Klasse concept features the brand’s signature kidney grille apparent in models like the M2 G87. It is designed with a shark nose front end, 21-inch aerodynamic wheels, and blacked-out side skirts and bumpers.

The contemporary styling continues into the interior, coming with a clean layout by reducing analog controls to a minimum. Like most modern EVs such as the Kia EV9, the concept is developed with sustainable materials, preventing the use of decorative chrome or leather.

Moreover, the interior has the brand’s Panoramic Vision with an innovative head-up display – which was teased earlier this year during the 2023 CES in Las Vegas. The next-gen BMW iDrive infotainment system is enabling the intelligent personal assistant, providing a “tried-and-tested” voice control.

Power comes from the sixth-gen BMW eDrive technology run by newly developed round battery cells. While the numbers are yet to be disclosed, the automaker promises the EV powertrain will deliver a boosted range of up to 30 percent and improved energy consumption efficiency by 25 percent.

“In this way, we are always able to stay two steps ahead of the future: The Neue Klasse is already bringing the mobility of the next decade to the roads in 2025 – and leading BMW into a new era,” added Zipse.
