The young racing driver is entering the race series with impressive feats on his resume, including an unbeaten record in the Macau Karting Grand Prix in 2019 and a Vice Championship at the IAME SEA Series 2017.

Coseteng has also participated at the ROKiT F4 British Championship where he secured his inaugural race win in October 2022. During his earlier stints, he achieved one pole position, one podium finish, and three fastest laps.

In the upcoming ADAC GT Masters GT3 Season, he will be running in a BMW M4 GT3 under Schubert Motorsport. It is powered by a 3.0-liter straight-six turbocharged engine good for 590 horsepower.

The 2023 ADAC GT Masters GT3 season will commence at the Hockenheimring in Germany, which is set to happen from June 9 to 11, 2023. Within the season calendar, the race series will host six rounds, with the drivers returning to Hockenheimring for the final race.

“The timing of Eduardo Coseteng’s collaboration with RSA Motors couldn’t have been more perfect, as more Filipinos are developing a strong interest in motorsports. BMW is delighted to foster the passion for this thrilling sport and help grow its fan base,” said RSA Motors General Manager Simeon Policarpio.

This isn’t the only motorsport initiative RSA Motor has rolled out in recent times. Earlier this year, Ramon S. Ang announced San Miguel Corporation’s (SMC) plans to build a new motorsports complex by the Bulacan International Airport project.

Know more about BMW M4 2024

BMW M4

The 2024 BMW M4 Coupe was built under the German brand's motorsport division as the high-performance, sport sedan counterpart of the BMW 4-Series model. Through the improvements and upgrades developed by BMW GmbH, they replaced all specifications of the 4-Series that won’t make it cut for race car drivers and upgraded it with a more powerful engine, improved suspensions, and a stronger stopping system. It boasts of its adaptive suspension and active differential that complements the 3.0L turbocharged engine, mated to either a manual or DCT transmission, depending on the package. Currently, there is only one variant in the Philippine market which is the BMW M4 Coupe 3.0.

BMW M4 Launch

The BMW M4 was first brought into the Philippines in 2014 as the replacement for the two-door M3 sports sedan, although the M4 was manufactured as a sedan only. Six years later, it received a facelift for an upgraded M3 launched in January 2020.

BMW M4 Exterior

The BMW M4 has kept its athletic and aggressive styling, incorporating aerodynamics into the design. Its commanding presence on the road is defined by its prominent double kidney grille flanked by pulled-back LED headlamps and fog lamps. Balancing the strong character lines is a smooth, sloping roofline that gives the vehicle a more sophisticated look. Adding to its sleek aesthetic is a carbon fiber roof that doubles as protection from the heat. The M4 rides on 18-inch light alloy wheels.

BMW M4 Interior

Inside, the BMW M4 initially comes off as traditional and straightforward, without the usual feast of touchscreens and digital technologies. However, the timelessness of its ambiance is seemingly refreshing. Its ergonomic layout is very familiar, following BMW’s signature style but upgraded through a spread of carbon fiber. Buttons are used for most of the major controls such as drive modes and air-conditioning. On the driver’s dashboard are analog dials for gauges. Completing the sportiness of the interior are wing-back seats wrapped in leather. Color schemes of Alcantara and M tricolors spruce up the cabin for a more vibrant yet stylish look.

Technology & Safety Features

The BMW M4 is fully decked with a fleet of technology, despite its conventional cabin layout. This includes an 8.8-inch widescreen display that is navigation-ready and hooked up to the BMW iDrive system. It can be activated through voice command and provides the driver with a convenient way of accessing certain safety features, apart from the entertainment controls.

In terms of safety, BMW equipped the M4 with a wide range of features that are most fitting for the sports sedan. As standard, it comes with all-around parking sensors, front and rear cameras, an Anti-lock Braking System, cruise control, keyless entry, and a push start button.

The engine comes with three drive modes—the Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus which enables the driver to conveniently control the engine, suspension, and steering based on the driving conditions.

Platform & Chassis

The 2-door, 4-seater coupe uniquely comes with a lightweight balanced chassis. Its 50:50 weight distribution provides more balance in the sports sedan which is especially handy in dealing with rough roads or going at faster speeds.

The M4 is equipped with adaptive suspension and active differential while stopping power comes from ventilated discs all around.

Engine & Drivetrain

Under the hood of the BMW M4 is a 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six gasoline engine that can produce 431 hp and 550 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through either a six-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The former comes as standard for base variants while the DCT is for the CS and GTS packages.
